It is an impressive, long-lived, warm season native prairie grass that produces abundant horizontal seed heads that gradually change from green to tan. Foliage grows one foot tall with seed pods on two foot stems.
Blonde Ambition Blue Grama Grass is very cold hardy and thrives in full sun in average, alkaline, sandy, well-drained soil. It can be drought tolerant once established.
